Kitchen waste is the most important type of food waste, including food processing scraps (kitchen waste), food residues (swill) and waste edible oils and fats generated from activities such as household, food processing, catering services, company feeding and others. Kitchen waste is divided into three parts: oil, water and solid waste. Oil-water separation is a common pre-treatment step in kitchen waste treatment. In addition to oil and water, kitchen waste solid waste itself has high content of salt, calcium, protein, phosphorus, nitrogen and starch, rich in organic matter and trace elements, can be used in a wide space, can be processed into natural organic fertilizer, made into biological feed, or used for incineration power generation, fermentation hydrogen production, biogas production, pyrolysis production of gas and other purposes.
